Sunrise Veterinary Surgery

Been taking my cats here for about 3 years now! And my parents have been taking their dog too, brilliant staff, sometimes it takes a while to be seen but it's only got one vet so that is understandable. They were really compassionate when I had to have one of my cats euthenised! Can't praise them enough for how they have treated me and my cats over the years! Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for!

Our dog is extremely anxious when visiting the vet and needs to wear a muzzle. I moved to Sunrise based on the reviews and the fact that our dog would see the same vet on each occasion and I hoped it might ease some of his anxiety. I told them when making an appointment to have some fatty lumps checked out, that he would need to be muzzled, and this didn't seem to worry them at all. The lady on reception was very nice and attentive and gave Ted a treat, however Ted seemed to know where he was and was already anxious. The vet himself I found to be professional, and very softly spoken - difficult to hear him at times. He went through Ted's notes sent from our previous vet, and then gave me a muzzle to put on him. Unfortunately as soon as it was fitted Ted started to get very agitated, fighting against us, trying to get it off, snarling. The vet kept his distance, and made no attempt to examine him, perhaps he felt unable to do so. Eventually he told us to take Ted down from the table and remove the muzzle. He said we would have to bring him back when he would be sedated and then he could check out the lumps. He didn't ask us to make an appointment which I thought was a bit odd, but said they would contact me, and it might be a few days. Several weeks later I am still waiting. I no longer wish to return to this vet who charged us the full consultation fee of £53 despite doing absolutely nothing, we were probably with him no more than 10 minutes if that. I would not recommend based on our experience....it seems they don't want pets that may be a bit difficult.

I went to SUNRISE, with my dog BRENNA, having read some reviews which were very positive. I found out why, when they treated Brenna, and operated on her cancer infected paw. The problem was cured, by total professionalism, skill, and care. The cost was reasonable, and fair, especially compared with what I had endured recently at other vets practices. I have nothing but praise, and gratitude for SUNRISE, and would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart.

I moved here a few weeks ago, both visits were great very friendly and the vet is really good at listening and explaining especially when I was concerned over a injection, really reassured me, even great with my dog who's reactive to other dogs. Bonus very close to canal to can add a nice walk to parbold after visit to 😀

It was my first visit to Sunrise vets and I am so glad I moved to this vet. Dr Shams was extremely thorough, reassuring, knowledgeable, professional and informative. He put me at ease and was very kind and gentle with my cat and has helped Simba on the road to recovery. He thoroughly explained everything on the blood tests to me and about his treatment. It was a very positive experience because unlike other vets he did not rush the appointment or try to upsell. Jade was also very welcoming, friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this vet's practice.

First visit to Sunrise to get my son's dog Blue examined by the vet as she had a couple of problems. The vet was very thorough and caring. He prescribed a couple of drugs and told me to bring Blue back if she had any problems at all. The cost of the appointment and the drugs was much less than expected. Our own dog Buddy is currently cared for by one of the big veterinary businesses but as soon as my current annual contract runs out I will swop to Sunrise. All the staff I met at Sunrise were very friendly - thanks to all. 👍
